Lou Barlow Retrospective LP - compiled by Emil & Steve Shelley
Lou Barlow personified home recording's rise in the late 80's and was arguably one of the few key players that changed the trajectory of songwriting as the 90's charted its cultural course. For the 30th anniversary of his Really Insane 7" and Winning Losers EP, Emil Amos and Steve Shelley have compiled an overview of Lou's best solo work under the name 'Sentridoh'. Based around an even mix of legendary tracks and extra deep cuts, this compilation focuses on Lou's arrangement innovations, signature textural explorations and radical ability to turn psychological upheaval into classic songs.
*The definitive collection of Lou Barlowβs (Dinosaur Jr., Sebadoh, Folk Implosion) early masterworks
*features 21 tracks remastered by Carl Saff from Barlowβs early 90βs home-recording peak
*culls from 6 different releases (which are all out of print) to create the ultimate collection for newcomers or collectors
*features 7 tracks that have never been on vinyl
